Trinity Reads is a new campus-wide initiative that encourages students, staff, faculty and alumni to read outside the classroom and engage with contemporary Canadian stories as a catalyst for conversation and connection. Modelled after CBC’s highly successful program, Trinity Reads will highlight five shortlisted titles that speak to current conversations about sustainability – each represented by a Trinity student champion – leading to a public debate, campus-wide vote and author visit to celebrate the winning Trinity Reads title.
This year’s campaign asks readers to engage with titles that help us reimagine our relationship to the land:
Throughout the year, the Trinity 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ will also have opportunities to attend reading parties, book talks, film screenings and 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ workshops that expand on themes from the shortlisted books. The campaign kicks off with a Reading Party on Monday, September 22 at 6 pm in the 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ Chapel, co-hosted with .
For the Reading Party, 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ and U of T students, and 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ staff, faculty and alumni who register for a ticket and attend the event will receive a choice of the shortlisted titles at the door from 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ (while supplies last). The Reading Party will feature silent reading time, opportunities for social connection and a 91×ÔÅÄÊÓÆµ book swap, plus all new Trinity Reads swag. You can .
